Eminem has released the music video for “Houdini,” the first single off of his upcoming album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).
The Death of Slim Shady, Eminem’s 12th studio album, is his first LP since 2020’s Music to Be Murdered By.
The music video for the song “Houdini” is a treasure trove of references for longtime Eminem fans, as the iconic MC brought back the 2002 bleached-hair version of himself while also spoofing the music video for “Without Me,” his own beloved track off his 2002 album The Eminem Show.
In classic Eminem fashion, the song begins with a frustrated call from his manager Paul Rosenberg.
“Hey Em, it’s Paul. I was listening to the album… Good f—— luck, you’re on your own,” Rosenberg says.
He also poked fun at Megan Thee Stallion being shot at by Tory Lanez by coyly rapping:
“If I was to ask for Megan Thee Stallion if she would collab with me / Would I really have a shot at a feat? I don’t know, but I’m glad to be, back.”
Check out the official music video for “Houdini” — which was also the name of a single released by Dua Lipa this year — below. Make sure to keep an eye out for cameos from Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Pete Davidson, and Shane Gillis, as well.
While The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) is set to be released this summer, the project does not have an official release date at this time.
