Following in her famous father’s footsteps, Hailie Jade Scott, daughter of rapper Eminem, aka “The Real Slim Shady” is about to get “just a little shady.” She just announced her newest career venture on her Instagram page – a podcast titled, “Just A Little Shady.” According to the announcement post, the podcast is “about to drop” but no official release date has been given yet.
Getting Ready to Launch her Newest Career Venture
“This project has been in the works for a while & I’m so excited for the first episode to be launching!!” she captioned her July 12th post. She continued with news of the podcast’s own Instagram page and info on the YouTube channel so people can subscribe now for a sneak peek about what Scott and her cohost @britednie will be talking about. At this time, there is no content there, but from the sounds of it, it won’t stay that way for long.
The announcement of the new podcast went over well with her more than two million Instagram followers. Messages of encouragement and support filled the comment section.
“I love the name of the podcast”
“Sing my dads gone crazy as the intro.”
“An episode with Em would break the internet.”
“This is gonna be slay! excited to see all your hard work with this podcast pay off.”
“The name is genius.”
More Than Just a Podcast in the Works
Scott, 26, has some other interesting ventures in the works at the moment. She recently filed a trademark application for clothing and “non-medicated skincare preparations” in conjunction with her new brand, Hailie Jade, LLC. According to documents obtained by Page Six Style, she also filed a trademark application to trademark her podcast name to sell clothing with the brand. Being active in the fashion world is nothing new to Scott. She’s a brand ambassador for Garnier USA and for Puma.
Scott is following in her famous dad’s footsteps with a clothing line. He also dipped into the world of fashion in the early 2000’s with Shady Ltd. brand, which is no more. Since that time, he’s also launched T-shirts with Title Boxing and Chrysler.
Keeping Her Life as Private as She Can
While her name was often heard in her dad’s music, Scott has kept it a point to stay out of the limelight as much as possible throughout her life. But she shows up when it’s most important. In February, she cheered her father on during his halftime show at the Super Bowl. She posted a photo of herself inside of the one of the stadium’s private boxes overlooking the empty field and captioned it, “Here for the halftime show, staying for Stafford,” a shout-out for Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. When her dad hit the stage, she posted videos of his performance from her view, supporting dad all the way.
You’ll rarely see more than just a glimpse into her life on social media, but earlier this year she posted a rare photo of her with boyfriend, Evan McClintock, who she’s been dating since 2016. So it’s safe to wonder what topics the new podcast will focus on, and whether or not her famous dad will make any cameos.
