Eminem has returned with “Houdini,” the lead single from his forthcoming new album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).
“Houdini” is the first single to arrive since Eminem announced The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) last month. The song itself was announced this past week via a fun and strange Instagram clip depicting a FaceTime call between Eminem and magician David Blaine, in which the latter eats a wine glass and the former vows to “make [his] career disappear,” with his “last trick.”

The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) is due later this summer, marking Eminem’s 12th full-length release, and his latest since 2020’s Music to Be Murdered By. Earlier this month, to promote the album, Eminem ran a fake obituary in the Detroit Free Press for his alter ego, Slim Shady. Previously, Dr. Dre teased that a new Eminem album would come out this year.
Meanwhile, Eminem has one upcoming show on the books: a performance at the Formula 1 Pirelli United States Grand Prix in October (grab tickets here).
