Elvis Costello Announces Elvis Costello Sings Hunter-Garcia, a Benefit Concert for Prader-Willi Homes of California

Elvis Costello has revealed plans for a benefit concert that will support Prader-Willi Homes Of California. The show has been dubbed “Elvis Costello Sings Hunter-Garcia” and has been billed as an early and late show at The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, Calif.

The highly-anticipated one-night affair lands after Costello takes the stage for a newly announced afternoon set at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, which is scheduled to begin on Sept. 30 at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. The show will see Costello perform two a rare and intimate tributes to Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter, an early show at 7 p.m., followed by a final call at 10 p.m. Both shows support Prader-Willi Homes Of California, a nonprofit which helps to create and support residential living for individuals with Prader-Willi syndrome.

“We are so lucky to have Elvis as a friend and adviser to Prader-Willi Homes of California,” PWHC Executive Director Austin de Lone shared. “This is a momentous occasion, as we have purchased our first home and are making the final push to fund renovations and give our first residents the specialized care they and their families have been dreaming of. The overwhelming requests for placement in this first house reinforces the importance of PWHC’s mission to purchase and support the multiple homes for the large number of California residents with PWS who lack the kind of housing they need.”
