Last night, Elton John sparked hopes of an additional show for his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour by posting a photo of himself onstage with the text “One final date to announce…” on his Instagram story. Speculation about Elton John performing at the world-renowned festival was reignited earlier this year after tour dates for his farewell tour in Paris were shifted from 2022 to 2023.
Glastonbury weekend will commence on June 23 through 25, 2023, and the Paris shows will commence on June 21, 27 and 28, 2023, creating a convenient gap in Elton John’s schedule for the beloved U.K. festival.
Elton John, who performed his final shows in North America at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles just weeks ago, followed up to his initial story post with a confirmation story post saying, “Rocket man is incoming,” though he did not reference Glastonbury directly. On a Twitter post created by Glastonbury Festival Feed, fans wrote on the nature of his possible appearance, with one writing, “Pyramid Headliner for sure,” while another wrote, “he’s going to be on the legends spot.”

Furthermore, on the website’s interactive Glastonbury webcam, a rocket can be seen flying over the Pyramid stage.
Elton John will continue to tour until Saturday, July 8, 2023, following stops in Australia, New Zealand and throughout Europe. Find tickets and learn more about the rest of the dates here.
