Elodie loves getting her row on by kayaking. “Totally loving the family paddle!! Not easy to find activities in tribe, any ideas?!” she captioned a photo. Why is kayaking an effective workout? It is great for building upper body strength and helps reduce stress. It can also blast up to 400 calories per hour, translating to 1,600 calories in four hours of paddling.

Research has linked downhill skiing to a number of health benefits. In addition to promoting Elodie is also a skier, a great winter sport that can help decrease risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress and the occurrence of memory deficits declines.

Elodie starts her day (and year) off with a cup of coffee. “1st coffee of 2022,” she captioned one snap. Coffee is a great way to perk up in the morning and improve your overall health. A new 2022 study published in European Journal of Preventive Cardiology even found that drinking two to three cups a day of most types of coffee – especially a mild to moderate intake of ground, instant, and decaffeinated coffee – may protect you from cardiovascular disease and an early death.

Elodie’s favorite form of cardio? Running. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

During the pandemic, Elodie allowed herself to gain weight. “Already +3 kg on the scale and I don’t care!” she told Pure People. “Honestly, following make-up tutorials, blow-drying, dressing well, getting ready as if I were going out and following intermittent fasting or a ketogenic diet, it sounds cool, but I became Miss France Flemme and I savor the small pleasures of everyday life without taking my head.”
