Ellie Goulding Deletes Instagram Following End Of Her 4 Year Marriage

Ellie Goulding is off social media as she navigates the conclusion of her love story with her estranged husband, Caspar Jopling.

The former couple quietly separated months before they announced their breakup in February, a heartbreaking statement that came at the heels of Goulding’s speculated romance with a young surf instructor.

The “Burn” singer is well-known for keeping fans updated with her life and music; however, things have changed since the dissolution of her 4-year marriage to Jopling.

Instead of carrying her 14 million followers on this new phase of her life, Goulding deleted her Instagram page. Searching for the musician’s profile brings up the error message “Sorry, this page isn’t available.”

It seems the blonde entertainer is taking a social media hiatus amid the growing attention on the end of her marriage, especially since moving vans have been spotted outside the former couple’s home in London.

According to Daily Mail, a work crew was seen loading several items from the property into the vans. Among the items being taken out was what appeared to be a child’s toy chest. Goulding and Jopling share a son, Arthur, whom they welcomed in April 2021.

It is unclear when the estranged spouses pulled the plug on their marriage; however, it happened sometime in 2023. The “Love Me Like You Do” hitmaker was forced to address their separation in February following speculations about her love life.

She confirmed her split from Jopling in a statement on her Instagram Story, writing: “In light of recent stories, I feel I have been left with no choice but to let you all know that Caspar and I privately separated some time ago.”

“We remain the closest of friends and have been successfully co-parenting with our son’s best interests at heart,” she continued, adding:

“We are committed to protecting our family privacy and thank people in advance for respecting our wishes – we won’t be commenting further. Thank you.”

Friends of the estranged spouses claim a reconciliation will never happen as “divorce is the only outcome” following the duo’s breakup after two years battling to save their marriage.

Sources close to Goulding echoed similar sentiments, noting that a divorce isn’t the ideal ending for her, but it is the “only one” after exhausting all possibilities with Jopling. One of the former couple’s pals said:

“Ellie and Caspar have been over for some time now, but there was this whole carry on of them pretending to be together. The fact is that it is over. Ellie moved on some time ago, but she didn’t want anyone to know.”

They continued: “But now she is enjoying the company of other men, and there is simply no way back. It is so sad, especially because they have got little Arthur, but they can’t make it work.”

The insider lamented that the pair’s relationship will end in divorce, stressing that “there is no way that the marriage can be saved. The only way it is going to end now is by divorcing.”

The source noted that Goulding “is ready to date other men” even if Jopling wasn’t. However, they believed he would also rejoin the dating pool in the foreseeable future.

The “Lights” hitmaker might have declared her intentions to end things with her estranged husband in July 2023 when she attended the Serpentine Summer Party with Jopling.

Sources, at the time, claimed the pair’s busy schedules had placed on their relationship. Therefore, they decided to take some time apart and live separately for at least six months.

As stated, Goulding was forced to address her relationship status with Jopling following speculations about her love life. She got tongues wagging after she was captured, ditching her wedding ring and frolicking with a new man.

The musician’s rumored beau is none other than Shakira’s surf instructor, a hunky heartthrob named Armando Perez. The pair were photographed getting cozy and kissing as they enjoyed the water in his home country of Costa Rica.

Shockingly, this PDA sighting came weeks after Goulding was seen on a date night with Jopling in London’s Leicester Square. The former couple’s relationship began in 2017 after meeting at a dinner with friends in New York.

A year later, the then-lovers announced their engagement in August 2018 with a post in The Times and said their vows on August 31, 2019. They tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony with royals like Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie in attendance.
