Either Andy Cohen was actually curious about Saturday Night Live celebrity hosts, or he really wanted to get some mileage out of his awful “Show and SN-Tell” pun. No matter his intention, he decided to play a lightning round with cast member Ego Nwodim this week on Watch What Happens Live. Cohen threw out a host, then asked Nwodim to share “something fascinating” about working with them.
Josh Brolin
Brolin took one look at Nwodim and determined she hadn’t seen enough movies. “He was right,” Nwodim admitted. “He sent me a text message with 50 must-watch movies.” Cohen loved Brolin’s gesture, asking Nwodim which of the cinematic suggestions she had seen. “I still haven’t done my homework, but I’ll get there.”
Bad Bunny
Nwodim was part of SNL’s traditional Tuesday night host dinner when Bad Bunny came to town. The two spent much of the meal singing Luis Enrique love songs across the table to one another.
“That was when you fell in love,” guessed Cohen.
“Can you believe he still didn’t want me after that?” exclaimed Nwodim.
Jason Momoa
Things got a little spicier when Cohen brought up Momoa, the man Nwodim has unofficially appointed as her personal matchmaker. “I’ve asked him to set me up with someone,” she said. “He’s like, ‘But I don’t know any guys who are worthy.’”
So Nwodim and Momoa devised a system. At random times, Nwodim will text him a “Who you wit?” message. Then Momoa sends a picture of whoever he’s with at the time so Nwodim can determine if he’s romance-worthy. The two are still at it. “As recently as a few weeks ago, I hit him with the ‘Who you wit?’ and he showed me a picture of a stranger in the airport.”
Maya Rudolph
“Oh my goodness, Maya is incredible,” Nwodim gushed. “She did our Mother’s Day episode, and I think everyone’s ready for her to be our mamala.” (Saturday Night Live announced this week that Rudolph would return to the show for the election cycle to reprise her Kamala Harris impersonation.)
Eddie Murphy
“Eddie Murphy whispered in my ear,” Nwodim told Cohen. “This is the biggest turn-on.” That piqued Cohen’s interest. What did Murphy whisper that got Nwodim hot and bothered? “He said, ‘You did a good job, funny girl.’”
