ED SHEERAN left London shoppers completely stunned as he served up his own brand of hot sauce at a supermarket.
The Shivers singer, 33, was on-hand at Sainsbury’s not only to promote his Tingly Ted’s condiment but to also sign everything from blocks of cheese to kitchen roll as special momentos.
Ed‘s latest yummy project is dubbed as “the ketchup of hot sauces” and was first launched last year.
It offers both a Tingly flavour and an Extra Tingly variation for those brave enough to notch up the heat further.
The A Team hitmaker headed to the supermarket chain’s London Colney superstore on Tuesday in an eye-popping orange street food van.
Ed pulled up in the car park and proceeded to meet and greet delighted fans – while scrawling his autograph in sauce.
The condiment-adorned items – including a square of kitchen roll – swiftly found their way ot online auction site, eBay.
Meanwhile, the dad-of-two also served up free slices of spicy pizza to hungry shoppers.
After the fluffy of grub-goers subsided Ed gushed: “It was super exciting popping into Sainsbury’s and surprising some shoppers.
“Tingly Teds has been such a fun project so far, hope everyone is enjoying mixing it with whatever food they like.
“I’m still discovering meals that it makes even better.”
Satwinder Hayre, Store Manager at Sainsbury’s London Colney added: “We were delighted that Ed Sheeran made a surprise visit to our store today to show off his Tingly Teds hot sauces, it certainly gave our customers shivers!”
Tingly Ted’s is named after Ed’s childhood nickname.
