Dying Wish have announced their third album, Flesh Stays Together, arriving September 26th. The lead single “I’ll Know You’re Not Around” can be streamed now.
The dynamic track opens with the soloed lead vocals of Emma Boster, a prelude to the melodic chorus, which has an almost symphonic power-metal grandeur. These clean-sung section after separated by grooving metalcore and Boster’s gutturals, with the Oregon band flexing the full breadth of its sound across the nearly four-minute track.
“The song expresses weakness and deep regret when faced with the ongoing pain on the surface of our dependency with one another,” Boster shared in a press release. “The unavoidable conflict, betrayal and abandonment that lie within the cracks of our society. An acceptance of grief.”

Flesh Stays Together was recorded with producer Will Putney (Knocked Loose, Nothing, Full of Hell). The LP is the band’s first full-length since 2023 and follows the one-off single “I Brought You My Soul (Your World Brought Me Despair)” that was released back in February.
“Flesh Stays Together is a discovery, a journey of grief and a statement,” Boster stated. “Together we face the most unacceptable conditions in our lifetimes. Every tragedy becomes our own yet we have never been more separated. Flesh is a vicious wake up call. Slowly and painfully we approach the end we deserve.”
Meanwhile, Dying Wish will be on tour throughout the month of September supporting Poppy. The outing kicks off September 12th in Cincinnati and run through early October, including a stop at the Aftershock Festival on October 4th in Sacramento. Get tickets here.
