Twitch star Duke Dennis was left confused while reacting to a new song where famous rapper GloRilla seemingly called him ugly.
On February 21, rapper Jorjiana released a new song that featured GloRilla called “ILBB2.” During GloRilla’s verse, she mentioned Duke Dennis.
“Like my ****** tall and brown, and mixed with a little bit of ugly. Uh, uh-huh, they say shooters shoot. Uh, uh-huh, Duke Dennis what’s up with you?” said Glo.
During his February 22 Twitch stream, and before reacting to the song, Duke said that his phone had been blowing up ever since the song came out.
“I’ve never had a day where my phone was going off the charts like that, and then when I finally seen, like, what it was I’m like ‘Ok?’…I promise you, if what y’all are talking about is not a big deal, we gonna have a real got damn problem,” Dennis said.
Duke Dennis confused about who GloRilla was calling ugly
“Those two lines are separate though, right?” said Duke when reacting to the song. “You wasn’t talking about me? Because it was like ‘uh-huh’ in between, you know, two different people.”
The streamer then said that he’s fine with being called a little ugly, because he thinks everybody is if you look at them long enough.
Fans were quick to make jokes about Duke being called out. “So basically, she called Duke Dennis ugly in a poetic way,” said one Twitter user “Lmao she really said ‘you cute but in a unfinished character model kinda way’,” said another.
After listening to the song and analyzing GloRilla’s lyrics, Duke was not convinced that she was referring to him, stating that “she could’ve been talking about anybody.”
