DUCK Dynasty’s Uncle Si was rushed to hospital with ‘low oxygen levels’ after suffering a fall over the weekend.
Si, 76, full name Silas Merritt “Si” Robertson, experienced the health scare during a ‘dangerous’ hunting trip with his co-stars Justin Martin and Phillip McMillan in Arkansas.
The group had been returning to their boathouse when Si attempted to exit the vessel in a hurry.
Speaking on the Duck Call Room podcast, Justin explained: “Typical Silas Robertson, he’s in a dang hurry to get out of the boat and up the steep hill.”
On the YouTube transmission, an image of the star in the hospital attached to tubes was shown for viewers.
Si slipped on the muddy terrain, which Justin described as steep and hazardous, and fell onto his oxygen machine.

He continued: “He fell trying to get out of the boat. He fell on his oxygen machine but he bounced right back up. He didn’t want anybody to see that he fell. But he was covered in mud.”
Although Si tried to brush off the incident, saying, “Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I’m fine. Yep, no problem, yeah,” his co-stars grew concerned as the day went on.
Justin noted, “He was real quiet, another red flag… no stories.”
Phillip shared his reaction upon hearing the news that Si was rushed to the hospital.
He said: “I get a call from Elizabeth, Christine’s caretaker. She says, ‘Si’s oxygen level’s really low. Take him now to the ER.’ My heart just dropped.”
At the hospital, Phillip recalled, “I said, ‘What is going on?’ And I figured he would start laughing and talking. But no, he said, ‘Man, I’m in a lot of pain.’”
Doctors conducted X-rays, ruling out broken ribs but suspecting bruising from the fall.
Si’s low oxygen levels initially caused alarm, but medical staff suggested he may have experienced panic attacks as a contributing factor.
Thankfully, he was discharged to recover at home.
Justin reflected on the ordeal, adding, “Things can go sideways pretty fast out there.”
This incident follows other health challenges within the Robertson family.
Phil Robertson, Si’s brother, was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
Jase Robertson shared the news on a previous podcast episode, saying, “Phil’s not doing well… And he has early stages of Alzheimer’s.”
It also follows the announcement that Duck Dynasty is finally getting a reboot after eight years.
The A&E reality programme was first on air for five years, between 2012 and 2017.
Duck Dynasty followed the life of Willie Robertson, CEO of a duck call company named Duck Commander.
The popular A&E show featured the rest of his family and friends and it ran for eleven series.
Tens of millions of viewers saw how the Robertson family became a huge success with their family firm.
At its peak, 11.8 million viewers tuned in for the season four premiere in August 2013, before the last episode of the show back in March 2017.
Brothers Phil and Si are the main patriarchs of the group as they navigate the troubles of duck hunting life along with Phil’s sons Jase, Willie, and Jep.
The long-running show is finally returning to the small screen, as Duck Dynasty: The Revival will make its way onto the airwaves.
Willie and Korie Robertson will be front and centre of the new show as they plot the future of the company and watch their own kids tackle the challenges of adulthood.
A&E viewers will be able to watch the first of the ten-episode series in the summer.
Willie’s daughter Rebecca took to social media as she announced that the family are due to return to the airwaves.
Taking to Instagram with a string of family photos, Willie’s daughter Rebecca gushed after she resumed filming.
“The secret is out!”, she wrote. “We’re thrilled to announce that the @duckdynastyae reboot is coming soon!
“After months of filming and years of planning (with lots of prayers along the way), we can’t believe we’re back to share our lives with you ON TV! And this time, it’s the whole family—even the tiniest members! How fun is that?!
“We can’t wait to share more with you, so let us know in the comments if you’ll be tuning in!”
However, Phil Robertson will not be returning to the series after he was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
He was not listed by the television network as one of the family members to be featured on-camera.
Previously, he was briefly suspended from the show following anti-LGBT remarks he made in an interview with GQ.
