Dua Lipa is having a fun-filled vacation back in her home country of Albania. Lipa, 27, shared several photos of her trip, showing off the amazing food, climate, and natural beauty of the country. She also—of course!—shared plenty of sultry swimsuit snaps, including one of her posing in a beautiful orange print bikini. “Is it better here or there? 🤪,” she captioned the post. “Albanian girl in Albania 🧜🏼♀️🇦🇱,” a proud fan commented. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Lipa stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
Lipa does 15-minute workouts where every second counts, including jumping jacks, mountain climbers, and burpee exercises into the routine. “I’m still trying to see what my boundaries are and how far I can push myself and when I need to rest,” she says. “It’s high-intensity interval training, but it’s so quick, it’s over before it’s even started!”
Lipa enjoys boxing workouts for both the physical and mental benefits. “I love boxing in my spare time,” she says. “I like doing it for fitness [and] I like doing it just to kinda clear my mind. I really enjoy it. I like that it’s definitely a full body workout. Since starting boxing I’ve probably been in the best shape ever. It’s also a great stress reliever.”
Lipa works on having a healthy lifestyle overall, instead of restrictions. “I try and stay as healthy as possible whenever I can,” she says. “I’m never one to stop myself having naughty treats, but I try and limit it to days when I’m not as busy, because if I do eat a donut it usually puts me in a food coma! I would always be that person who made a New Year’s resolution, get a gym membership and then show up twice in the first week of January and then never go again. Now I love workout classes or working with a trainer. I feel like I’m pretty useless on my own, so I prefer being around other people working out with me.”
Lipa loves trying new things when it comes to working out. “When I have a tiny bit more time on my side I love mixing up lots of different training, finding different workouts in whatever city I’m in, whether it’s yoga, Pilates, boxing or spinning,” she says. “Whatever it is, I try to change it up every day to keep things interesting. When you’re on a tour bus, every day and every place is different, so you never know what you’re going to find. That’s always one way to keep it interesting.”
Lipa says she strives for authenticity when it comes to her live shows. “I sweat quite a lot, but if the makeup runs, the makeup runs!” she says. “I don’t want anything to be perfect,” From the lights to what you wear to the interaction with your fans, every small detail goes toward making the show great. That’s so important, just being able to be free and letting the audience see another part of you.”
