International pop powerhouse Dua Lipa has this week kicked off her highly anticipated Radical Optimism World Tour with a spectacular first show in Melbourne Australia.

Unveiling all-new production and an expanded setlist, the performance marked the first of the singers five-night run in the city before heading to multiple nights in Sydney and Auckland.

With the anticipation amongst audience members at the Rod Laver Arena reaching fever pitch, Dua opened the show with ‘Training Season’ and ‘End Of An Era’ from her third studio album ‘Radical Optimism’, performing alongside a dynamic new stage set and dreamy, bright graphics.

She then continued with fan favourites from her repertoire, such as ‘Break My Heart’ and ‘One Kiss’, before skill-fully incorporating a surprise performance of ‘Highway To Hell’ in homage to Australia’s very own AC/DC

Ahead of the show’s final act, while surrounded by a ring of fire, Dua ascended into the air performing ‘Love Again’ and ‘Anything For Love’ and later, she closed out the show with her chart-topping hits ‘Don’t Start Now’ and ‘Houdini’, delivering an electrifying finale for the packed crowd.

The Radical Optimism World Tour supports Dua’s third studio album of the same name, which was released back in the Spring of last year via Warner Records.

The album went to No.1 in 12 countries, including the UK where it became the biggest album debut from a UK female artist in 2024 and garnered the highest week one sales from a UK female artist since 2021.

In the US, the album debuted at No.1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart and No.2 on the Billboard 200 chart, marking Dua’s biggest sales week yet.

The UK leg of the Radical Optimism World Tour kicks off in June. Tickets are on-sale now.
