Dua Lipa is having a great year. She’s starring in Argyle and recently released her new single, “Training Season.” Lipa also released merchandise for her new single. She advertised it on Instagram this week. In them, Lipa is seen dancing and modeling the clothing. She captioned the post, “Training season merch drop!!! Hope you’re as obsessed as I am.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Dua Lipa stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
Lipa has amazing skin. She tells Vogue that she makes sure to stay consistent with her skincare. “When I was younger, I never used to care. I was the kind of person that would just wash my face with soap and call it a day. But when I turned 18, I started really taking care of my skin and being really gentle. Now I use a lot of serums: I have one that I put on before I go to bed, and a different one for the morning that I use after a skin cleanser to take off any make-up. I’ll also use an oil, sometimes a homemade one, because my skin gets really dry the next morning if I don’t.”
Lipa tells Vogue that she loves to have facials done, both professionally and by herself. “I’ve found some good facialists in different places, that people have recommended. I don’t have that much time to go so it’ll be whenever I get the chance, usually once every couple of months. In London, there’s a place called Pfeffer Sal which I love. There they’re lovely and it’s just been great. I also know to drink electrolytes to make sure you’re hydrated. When I’m traveling, I’ll always take a few face-masks on flights. That’s a good tip I’ve learnt – a game changer.”
Lipa shared to Viva Magazine that she loves high-intensity interval training. “I love doing something that’s really fast and quick, like a 15-minute HIIT session which I can do before I start my day. If I’ve got a really early call time, I don’t want to be waking up hours before I need to go and do a workout. So [I do] a high-intensity workout, shower, breakfast, and I’m on my way.”
Lipa is a big fan of boxing to stay in shape. “I love boxing in my spare time,” she says to BeautyCrew. “I like doing it for fitness [and] I like doing it just to kinda clear my mind. I really enjoy it. I like that it’s definitely a full body workout. Since starting boxing I’ve probably been in the best shape ever. It’s also a great stress reliever.”
For Lipa, fitness is all about variety. She tells Marie Claire, “Whatever it is, I try to change it up every day to keep things interesting. When you’re on a tour bus, every day and every place is different, so you never know what you’re going to find. That’s always one way to keep it interesting.” UHHospitals.org states that variety is important when it comes to fitness. “By creating variation and changing exercises in your routine, you can create a new stimulus, which creates more progress over time. And if you rotate exercises or activity every so often, your injury risk will decrease. Examples include adding bench pressing every Monday or continuously adding mileage when running or biking on a weekly basis.”
