Minecraft YouTuber Dream has turned his iconic blob mascot into a VTuber model in a massive rebrand for the creator.
On August 18, Minecraft YouTuber Dream revealed that he was working on a “rebrand” of his image in order to start a “new chapter” of his career.
Many fans began to speculate that he may be removing his mask for a second time, as the YouTuber began to tease a massive change to his mask and logo design.
The rebrand went live on Saturday, April 26, and Dream revealed in a video that his next chapter involves being a VTuber.
Dream 2.0 includes a new “blob” VTuber model
The announcement was streamed on YouTube and X, and was made to mimic the style of an old-school Apple keynote. The first topic focused on Dream as a brand, and almost immediately started talking about his mascot – the blob.
“Here are the problems with the blob,” he said. “It’s not expressive, it’s not versatile, there’s zero depth… it doesn’t move. It’s just… It’s just a blob.
“So we reinvented the wheel, right? There are some key components I thought we could add to address the problems: motion, the Dream brand, and 3D… So what did we come up with? It’s Dream 2.0, we added height, width, and depth. You can actually see the side profile. So now… I’m a VTuber.”

On top of the new VTuber model, Dream slightly altered the look of his social media profile pictures, banners, and even his Dream XD channel.
The Minecraft YouTuber also promised to upload videos more often and stream more frequently.
This VTuber era for Dream comes nearly three years after he decided to remove the mask to reveal his face for the first time. He decided to put it back in just weeks later, however, due to overwhelming harassment from users online.
