Disgraced streamer Dr Disrespect has made yet another stealthy change to his social media accounts as he plans to return to content creation.
In June 2024, former Twitch employees came forward alleging that the reason Dr Disrespect, real name Guy Beahm, was banned from the platform in 2020 was for sending inappropriate DMs to a minor.
Doc would eventually confess to these claims in a now-deleted tweet, announcing that he would be taking an extended vacation with his family and would be on a hiatus from streaming.
In the weeks that followed, the streamer would begin to test the social media waters by making a series of changes to his X account.
On August 21, Dr Disrespect changed both his profile picture and header image on X to photos of him with his brand’s theme, suggesting that he’s officially in the preparation stages of a return.
This follows a long list of small changes to his X account. First, he edited his header image to a fishing bobber with his logo in a stormy sea.
Following this, he posted an image of himself sitting at a chess board while his opponent played with checkers pieces. He went on to attack users in the comments who brought up his scandal. But that’s not all.
The week after, he deleted his confession from X and went on to reiterate that he would be returning to streaming, claiming, “We’ll be back soon” and there would be “lots to talk about.”
It’s still unclear where Doc will stream when he comes back, as many companies ahve cut ties with the streamer after he admitted to the allegations. While he hasn’t been outright banned on YouTube, the platform demonetized his channel, leaving him little reason to broadcast there.
Kick, meanwhile, has no plans to preemptively ban Dr Disrespect and even offered him $10M a year to move to their site before the reason for his Twitch ban was public. At the time, Doc turned down the offer, insisting that he was worth $50M instead.
Rumble had also expressed an interest in signing him before the allegations. In a 2023 interview with Dexerto, the site’s CEO, Chris Pavlovski, said they would “definitely love to have Dr Disrespect.”
