Dr Disrespect blasts “fake” streamers over Twitch viewbotting drama

Streaming star Dr Disrespect has called out “fake” streamers amid the ongoing drama around supposed viewbotting on Twitch.

Viewbotting has long been on a hot topic on Twitch and other platforms. Some streamers have used it to their advantage, actively adding fake viewers to their streamers in order to boost their standings. However, others have been maliciously targeted by trolls who want to get them banned.

As Twitch has started another clampdown on viewbotting – they now allow viewers to report channels they suspect of using bots – the conversation has been reignited.

So much so that xQc called out Kai Cenat’s friends Reggie and Rakai for their numbers. “I don’t give a f*ck, they’re all viewbotters, I don’t care. From a 1K Andy to 20k overnight, like bro, I’ve been here before, I’m not stupid, they’re botted out the wazoo. I’d be open to the conversation that it is their agency doing it,” he said on April 10.

That call-out has prompted streamers from all corners to weigh in and even start calling out other creators that they suspect of having fake viewers, including Dr Disrespect.

The Two-Time urged streamers to release their merchandise sales to prove how many real fans they actually have.

“Let’s see merchandise sales of these idiots too. Hahaha… they’re all fake Train. No real community. No real industry effect. Boring too,” he said, replying to KICK star Trainwrecks.

Train had argued that polls and chat aren’t the key indicators of who is viewbotting, given that is what most people point to.

“There are only 2 *consistent* ways to catch a botter in 2025 and that’s by either the backend analytics of sponsorship opportunities or if you have backend access to the platform they stream on. These are the 2 main metrics that are the hardest to dupe,” he said.
