ALEX Dougherty of the Dougherty Dozen has slammed rumors of his death amidst rumors on social media.
Rumors started to spread recently that Alex, 18, the oldest of the 11 siblings, had died.
Many users started posting TikToks asking, “Did Alex Doughtery die?!”
Alex was quick to squash rumors on Thursday when he posted a video in response to a comment that read, “Fly high Alex.”
The teen shared a dancing video from a car as his girlfriend, Nat, snuggled up on him and tried to distract his dance moves.
“Guess who’s dead… I’m joking I’m not dead. Rumors are lies just remember that,” the caption read.

Someone commented under his video, “Can’t believe they are posting old drafts of him now,” adorned with hearts.
“RIP Alex you lived such a great life.”
Alex responded to the comment saying, “I’m still alive brother.”
His video received over 786,000 views, 18,600 likes, and 1,000 comments.
Alex’s parents and other siblings have yet to comment on the hoax.
DEATH RUMORS
The rumor of Alex’s death started circulating out of the blue, leaving many users confused.
TikTok’s asking about his death were going viral on Thursday with one video reaching over 22,000 likes and over 665,000 views.
Another user asked, “Why are people saying Alex Dougherty passed away?? And it’s trending?”
One person even made a tribute video for Alex by making a Build-a-Bear on TikTok.
“Making a bear in honor of Alex Dougherty,” they wrote.

DOUGHERTY DOZEN
The family of 13 from Pittsford, New York — nine miles south of Rochester — became popular on social media through mom Alicia Dougherty’s vlogs, videos, and posts about their unique life.
She posts about their day-to-day, how she makes meals for the large family, and how she buys groceries for 13.
Alicia and Josh Dougherty adopted Alex when he was five years old.
Alex is one of seven adopted siblings.
He is a big brother to Zoey James, Dash, Jordan, Jason, Bodhi, Harlee, Patrick, Bree, and Dayshawn.
The 18-year-old plans to attend Utica University in the fall to continue his “athletic and academic career,” the football player shared in his Instagram post.
