Dolph Lundgren Is "Cancer-Free" After Being Given Two Years to Live

Dolph Lundgren has revealed that he is cancer-free after having previously been given two years to live.

The 67-year-old actor disclosed in 2023 that he had been privately battling illness since 2015. In 2022, doctors found a tumor on his liver that was too large to remove, as well as other large tumors on his lungs, stomach, spine and kidneys. At the time, he was given “two or three” years to live.

However, Lundgren sought a second opinion and began treatment that resulted in his tumors shrinking by 20 to 30 per cents within mere months. Now, as of Wednesday, November 27th, Lundgren has had the last tumor removed from his body and says he is “cancer-free.”

“It’s been a rough ride and really taught me how to live in the moment and enjoy every moment of life,” Lundgren said in a video posted to Instagram. “I mean, it’s the only way to go.”

Despite his battle with cancer, Lundgren has kept up a prolific work schedule with roles in films including Expend4bles and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom in 2023.
