Diplo is one of the most successful celebrity DJs over the past 25+ years between his solo career and Major Lazer. He has amassed a fortune through his music and became one of the highest-paid DJs on earth along the way, and he recently spent a chunk of that fortune on an absolutely stunning mansion in Portland, Jamaica which he revealed to the public in a cool video.

When I first came across Diplo‘s Jamaican mansion last week I 100% did not expect to be so obsessed with the property but it really is stunning from top to bottom. He invited a video team from Architectural Digest out to see the home that sits on a 62-acre estate in Portland, Jamaica and the walk-thru video is stunning.

Diplo’s Jamaica mansion has everything because of course it does. The project started ~10 years ago when he bought a 50 acre property and later added the adjacent 12-acre property to his estate. The main home is centered around the stunning pool and dining area with open air breezeways throughout. Check it out:

Diplo shared some shorter clips and photos of the home across social media including this video on X, formerly Twitter, for those who aren’t interested in watching the full video:

On Threads, Diplo described this as “a home .. a studio .. a refuge” and says it took years upon years to build. The Grammy-winning artist enlisted “a team of inspired artists and artisans” to bring this home to life, according to AD.

Diplo’s creative director Sara Nataf described the home to AD as a “heavenly stoner palace, where every nook and corner is meant to be a place where you can get inspired and create, or simply chill and contemplate.” Of course, something as spectacular as this isn’t without controversy. Dancehallmag says Diplo has faced ‘colonialism’ backlash after revealing this mansion in Jamaica. But looking at the YouTube comments they are overwhelmingly positive.

Honestly, the only comparable property to this I’ve ever seen is Villa Punto de Vista in Costa Rica near Manuel Antonio. I went to a wedding there years ago and it reminds me a LOT of Diplo’s Jamaican mansion.
