Dexter: Resurrection is, well, resurrecting some characters that we thought were long gone. The word “resurrection” is right there in the title, after all. Deadline reports that the series will bring back John Lithgow and Jimmy Smits as infamous Dexter characters the Trinity Killer and Miguel Prado, respectively.
The Trinity Killer is perhaps the greatest villain from the OG series who really gave our main man a run for his money in season 4. As we all remember, Arthur Mitchell seemed like a normal family dude but was actually a very active serial killer for 30 years. Dexter killed the Trinity Killer after he killed Dexter’s wife Rita.
So it is going to be wild to see how he fits into the new series. Smits’ Miguel Prado was the ADA who couldn’t stay out of Dexter’s hair to the point that Dexter ended up strangling him. So yeah, Miguel Prado and the Trinity Killer will both get new life in Dexter: Resurrection.
The series will hit Paramount+ sometime in the summer of 2025.
