SHE was a child star in one of the biggest shows of the last decade.
But these days Desperate Housewives star Madison De La Garza looks a far cry from her popular character, Juanita Solis.
Madison, now 21, took over the role of Juanita in the fourth season of the show, the daughter of Gabrielle Solis’ character, played by Eva Longoria.
She stayed on the show from 2008 – 2012 when the American show came to an end.
The star has previously revealed that she developed an eating disorder at just seven years old after reading cruel comments about herself.
She said: “My first memories of trying to starve myself, I was 7 years old. A lot of it came from reading those comments. My family had no idea that this was going on. My mom had no idea that I was seeing these things, that I was reading these things, because I was very, very sneaky about it.
“I was also very good at hiding and throwing away meals then saying that I ate them. And a lot of this happened while I was at school, so there was no way for my parents to know that I was restricting.”
As well as her TV career, Madison is well known for having a very famous sister – Demi Lovato.
The sisters share the same mun, Dianna, who had two girls Demi and Dallas with her husband Patrick Lovato.
After the couple divorced, Dianna went on to marry Eddie De La Garza and become a mum again to Madison.
In addition to playing Juanita, Madison also portrayed a younger version of Demi’s character Sonny Munroe in an episode of Sonny with a Chance.
Alongside her acting career, Madison graduated from high school in June 2019 and enrolled in screenwriting at Chapman University.
