Nobody expects a deer to come crashing into a restaurant out of nowhere. But anybody who has ever worked in the restaurant industry will tell you there’s never a dull moment and just when things seem most boring is when chaos unfolds.
Security footage from 521 Filling Station, a restaurant in Kershaw, South Carolina, went from peaceful to chaotic in an instant. A doe came sauntering into the South Carolina diner that’s famous for its breakfast, wings, and burgers and proceeded to wreak havoc.
After the dust had settled, the folks at 521 Filling Station in Kershaw, South Carolina were able to see the humor in what happened. The restaurant’s security cameras spread out across four rooms captured the rampaging deer slipping on the wet floor and destroying their eatery until a few patrons were able to subdue it and remove it from the premises.

They actually uploaded the video twice but as far as I can tell it’s the same. Here’s the second one just in case the first one was missing something:
Imagine trying to explain that to an insurance adjuster if they didn’t have those security cameras rolling!
The comments on their Facebook page are about as you’d expect. One person wrote ‘Wow it was hungry wanted to check you out’ while another quipped ‘Deer Roast is the Special or the day!!’
A patron astutely pointed out that the men in the restaurant waited until the women subdued the deer before jumping in to lend a hand. Another joked ‘Look at the ladies taking care of business while the men stand back!’

All’s well that ends well, right? The restaurant cleaned up and they didn’t mention what happened to the deer UPI wrote that the deer was escorted back outside.
