Deborah De Luca is a very successful DJ. She’s known for hit songs like “SHE SLEEPS.” De Luca shares a lot of gorgeous photos on Instagram. In May, she shared a photo of herself sitting by the beach in Naples. In it, she wore a pair of green shorts and a black tank top. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Deborah De Luca stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
De Luca may be a public figure, but she wants to protect her privacy. She talked about this in an interview with DJ Magazine. “I don’t want fame. So I work every day to have one normal life. I go to the same cheap restaurant every day. I spent a lot of time in the past working towards this job, but if you ask me now if I’m part of the pyramid, then no. I don’t need to be in that pyramid. This is because I want to be ready when my job is finished. I don’t want to have to pay another psychologist who would have to help me to get used to another life in another job, because I already have two!“
De Luca has dogs, and she prominently features them on social media. “People say that dogs are better than humans, and this is true,” she said in her interview with DJ Magazine. “If I feel bad, dogs help me every time. When I’m at home and my dogs are with me, I don’t feel alone — ever. The bad thing is dogs only survive 12 or 13 years. I’m not lucky with them.”
As you could probably tell from her recent Instagram post, De Luca loves to spend time by the beach. Naturally, this means that swimming is one of the ways she stays in shape. De Luca shared this photo on Instagram of herself swimming in Naples. She captioned the post, “My holidays start today ☀️Only my dogs, food, my home and my sea.”
De Luca is open about her struggles with insomnia. Her song, “She Sleeps” is about this. De Luca talked about overcoming this to Mix Magazine. “‘SHE SLEEPS’ is a tribute to my past problems with sleep, night and darkness. Problems I’ve always had, since I was a child. I’ve always had horrible dreams and adult nightmares, and my relationship with sleeping has always been one of love and hate. Then a year ago something changed. I found an unexpected balance that I never imagined I could ever feel…and now, she sleeps.”
De Luca revealed in her DJ Magazine interview that she’s vegetarian. Harvard Health states that this diet has a lot of benefits. “There’s some evidence that vegetarians have a lower risk for cardiac events (such as a heart attack) and death from cardiac causes. In one of the largest studies — a combined analysis of data from five prospective studies involving more than 76,000 participants published several years ago — vegetarians were, on average, 25% less likely to die of heart disease. This result confirmed earlier findings from studies comparing vegetarian and nonvegetarian Seventh-day Adventists (members of this religious group avoid caffeine and don’t drink or smoke; about 40% are vegetarians). In another study involving 65,000 people in the Oxford cohort of the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC-Oxford), researchers found a 19% lower risk of death from heart disease among vegetarians.”
