Benjamin Franklin once wrote, “Nothing is certain except death and taxes.” Successful tax cheats prove he was half only right. The founding father would have totally nailed it, though, if instead he said, “Nothing is certain except death and movies about Death killing people in overly elaborate, awful, hilarious ways.” Now, in fairness, it probably would have been hard for him to predict moving pictures. But it’s still true! Final Destination is going strong 25 years after Flight 180 exploded. And the new trailer for Final Destination Bloodlines is here to remind us why. Death’s plans always outlive us and our entire family.
The end is coming for a new generation in this first trailer for Final Destination Bloodlines. The series latest installment will provide a new spin on a now very old franchise. Instead of random people drawn together by a premonition and the fight to live, the Grim Reaper has its eyes set on an entire family. What did they do? They shouldn’t even exist. Many years ago their grandmother kept their bloodline alive when it should have ended with her. Here’s the film’s official synopsis from New Line Cinema:
Plagued by a violent recurring nightmare, college student Stefanie heads home to track down the one person who might be able to break the cycle and save her family from the grisly demise that inevitably awaits them all.

I love this franchise. I hope they all survive and also that none of them do.
Final Destination Bloodlines comes from the directing duo of Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky (Freaks) with a script from Guy Busick (Ready or Not). It stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana (The Flash), Teo Briones (Chucky), Richard Harmon (The Age of Adaline), Owen Patrick Joyner (Julie and the Phantoms), Anna Lore (Gotham Knights), Brec Bassinger (Stargirl), and the late, great, franchise stalwart Tony Todd.
What Is the Release Date for Final Destination Bloodlines?
Death makes its ominous, unavoidable, return to cinemas on May 16, 2025. And to paraphrase Ben Franklin, “Nothing is certain except us being there when Death comes back.”
