Dead Ahead is slated to return in 2025. The annual event, which celebrates music from the Grateful Dead’s vast songbook of originals and associated covers, will resurface on the white sand beaches in Riviera Cancun, Mexico, from January 9 through 13. As a follow-up to the initial delivery of occasion dates, the folks behind the annual event have unveiled the artist lineup and talent taking part in this winter excursion.

During the five-night event, three concerts will feature collaborations from Dead Ahead, a lineup comprised of  Bobby Weir, Sturgill Simpson, Rick Mitarotonda, Jeff Chimenti, Oteil Burbridge, Don Was, and Jay Lane, featuring Brittney Spencer, and Grace Bowers, with special guest/ event newcomer Brandi Carlile.

In addition to the aforementioned artists, the Dead Ahead event is slated to include added performances by Simpson, Oteil & Friends–performing two sets, one of which will pay homage to the Jerry Garcia Band, with choice covers. Also featured on the lineup are Trampled by Turtles, who have signed on to perform Old & in The Way. Separate sets will also arrive from Neal Francis and Joy Oladokun.
