Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that fans are asking an important question now that Billy Flynn’s (Chad DiMera) DOOL departure has been announced. Will Chad DiMera be recast since Flynn’s leaving Days and heading over to The Young and the Restless?
In an interview with Variety, Billy Flynn opened up about his decision to exit the Peacock sudser.
It all boils down to Flynn feeling like he took the character of Chad as far as he could take him and wanting to try something else.
Flynn suggested that he was excited to “start a new journey and tell another story” now that he’s tackling a new role on Y&R.
That said, Flynn is certainly grateful for all his years at Days and appreciates the fan support he’s been given.
That brings us to Flynn’s clue about another actor potentially taking over the role of Chad DiMera.
Flynn encouraged viewers to embrace the next person who might put his own spin on Chad.
“I hope [fans] continue to watch ‘Days’ and support ‘Days’ and support whoever might come in and play Chad, if there ever is that case.
I hope they do that and give somebody the same love they gave me,” Flynn said.
It seems the door’s been left wide open for a new Chad to debut and continue telling stories for this character.
Flynn may be done with Days, but there’s definitely a chance for the character of Chad to live on with a different actor in the part.
Regardless, Flynn clearly offered some well wishes for anyone who might play Chad now that he’s moving on.
Since Flynn will be portraying a new character on The Young and the Restless, he expressed hope that fans would come along for the ride.
Of course, Flynn still has several months of DOOL material left to air due to the show filming so far in advance, so fans won’t have to bid farewell to him as Chad just yet.
That said, it sounds like viewers might eventually see a new version of Chad based on the hint Flynn shared.
As Chad’s storyline moves forward, it’ll allow for more predictions about what’s coming up for the character overall.
