Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Steve Burton is all set to reprise his role as Harris Michaels, so let’s talk about his first airdate back and mull over some shockers related to his character.
Burton debuted on DOOL as Harris way back in 1988, so it was a fun surprise when he brought the character to life once again last summer on Beyond Salem’s second installment.
Now Burton is making the jump to the main show, so that’s certainly exciting news.
Of course, Harris’ comeback follows Megan Hathaway’s (Miranda Wilson) return since she’s also shaking things up on Days with a devious plan.
You’ve probably heard by now that Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso) are returning to Days as well.
Hope and Bo will make their first return appearances starting March 16, but Harris’ own comeback won’t be far behind.
On Burton’s podcast with Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli on General Hospital), he revealed that although he initially thought March 16 would be the big day, Harris’ actual first airdate back is March 20.
It sounds like whatever happens in Bo and Hope’s storyline will lead to Harris popping back up just a couple episodes later.
That makes sense considering Megan, Harris, Hope and Bo are all part of the same cluster in this continuing story.
On Beyond Salem, Harris was ordered to kill Hope after getting tangled up in Megan’s twisted web.
Hope and Harris’ manipulative marriage ended in disaster, but Harris ultimately had some genuine feelings and spared Hope’s life.
That’ll set the stage for Steve Burton’s next run as Harris Michaels on DOOL, where Harris will share a kiss with Hope according to the preview video that the show released at Day of Days.
Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal) will catch Hope locking lips with Harris as he recovers from some injuries, so she’ll definitely be thrown for a loop.
It looks like there could be a bit of a love triangle situation with Bo, Hope and Harris, but we all know “Bope” is the couple to root for!
Bo is obviously the one in the cryogenic chamber that Megan has been caressing tenderly, but he’ll get a chance to reunite with Hope sooner or later.
Harris and Hope aren’t endgame, but that apparently won’t stop him from causing a little more romantic drama in the meantime.
