Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Dr. Mike Horton (Roark Critchlow) will return for Jennifer Deveraux’s (Cady McClain) rehab exit. Mike will play a big role in getting the sister the help she needs, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
Now that Jennifer is back on painkillers, she’s on the verge of spiraling out of control.
Jennifer will pop pills and deal with a vision or hallucination of Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) that leaves her reeling.
After Jennifer gets behind the wheel in this drugged-up state, it’ll set up a disaster on the road.
Days spoilers hint that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will end up injured thanks to Jennifer, so it’s clear that Jenn needs to get her life together.
Fortunately, Jennifer won’t have to go through the next difficult chapter alone.
Roark Critchlow is reprising the role of Dr. Mike Horton after 12 years away from Days, so Jennifer will get assistance from her brother.
It looks like Mike will help Jennifer get settled in a rehab program somewhere.
Mike will only be back for a couple episodes, but he’ll share scenes with Jennifer, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes).
During the week of October 3-7, Mike will pop back up just before Jennifer says an emotional farewell to Jack.
It sounds like Mike will take the lead on guiding Jennifer through the next steps – though Jack will only be a phone call away if Jennifer needs him.
Of course, Jack will want to stick around Salem and make sure Gwen is OK following her own hospital ordeal.
Even if Jack offers to go with Jennifer, she may insist on him staying put and being there for his daughter.
Jennifer can hopefully come out stronger on the other side, especially with supportive Mike in her corner.
It’ll be great to see Roark Critchlow again as Dr. Mike Horton, even just for this brief DOOL visit.
