Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers indicate that Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) and Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) have a shocking connection. DOOL’s got a big reveal brewing, so let’s discuss Sami’s link to Cat and what all this could be building to.
In Days’ June 5 episode, Cat was taken aback over a framed photo at Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) townhouse.
Once Cat saw Sami’s face, she told Tate Black (Leo Howard) that the woman in the picture looked really familiar.
That news surprised Tate, who identified the woman as Aunt Sami and wondered if Cat knew her.
After Cat took a closer look, she admitted she didn’t think so.
In the end, Cat decided that maybe Sami just reminded her of someone – though she couldn’t put her finger on it.
Even so, there was some mysterious music to go with Cat’s strange reaction to that pic.
It’s clear that there’s more to the story here.
Days writers are offering up an intriguing puzzle now that Cat’s had this flash of recognition.
Cat genuinely doesn’t seem to remember where she knows Sami from, but there must be a connection.
It’d be silly for DOOL to have Cat react that way to Sami’s photo for no reason!
This seems like a situation where Cat crossed paths with Sami once upon a time and just needs to have her memory jogged a bit more.
Sami and Cat clearly weren’t all that close or else Cat would be having total recall right now.
It appears something specific happened with Sami – something that Cat’s not remembering just yet.
Did Sami somehow play a role in Cat’s accident or could she have encountered Cat in the aftermath?
Perhaps Days could rewrite it so Cat recovered at the same clinic where Sami watched over EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) during his own recovery.
It doesn’t matter if the timeline fits exactly or not if that’s the story the show wants to tell.
Sami might’ve shown injured Cat some kindness in a difficult moment or something along those lines.
Then again, Sami is a drama magnet, so we won’t be surprised if Cat’s eventual memory of her involves tension.
There might be some other incident in Cat’s past where she wronged Sami or maybe Sami wronged her instead.
Whatever the case, it makes sense for Sami and Cat to get a link of some sort.
Cat will ultimately move into a love triangle with EJ and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), so it’s smart to somehow connect her to EJ’s ex-wife and set up some conflict.
Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that Cat will face a Sami-related memory flood down the road, so stay tuned for updates on what she’ll recall.
