Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that we’ve got some comings and goings news to pass along, so let’s talk about some exciting returns and major departures. For starters, Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) has a fast exit coming up, so she won’t be sticking around Salem much longer.
Charles Shaughnessy will kick off a brief return stint as Shane Donovan starting Monday, March 17.
That’ll initially involve Shane getting interrogated about missing John Black (Drake Hogestyn) since Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) will want answers.
However, Shane’s return will later tie in with Theresa since he’s about to give her some crushing updates.
Theresa already brought up the fact that she needs to pay Kimberly Brady (Patsy Pease) a visit – and during a conversation with Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson), Theresa pointed out that her mother’s been unwell.
Kimberly has struggled with cancer in recent years, so Shane may admit some bad news related to her condition.
It sounds like Theresa will leave for California and support her mom through the health crisis she’s dealing with.
Theresa may get some grim predictions about how much time Kimberly has left and want to be there for her.
Of course, Days fans won’t have to wait too long to see Emily O’Brien back on-screen since she’ll return as Gwen Rizczech this July.
Days spoilers say Gwen will come back as a very wealthy woman and will make some serious waves once she settles in Salem again.
In the meantime, we should talk about Billy Flynn’s departure as Chad DiMera since he’s decided to step away from the role he’s held for over a decade.
Flynn is ready to try something else, so many viewers are eager to see him tackle a brand-new character over on The Young and the Restless.
Since Days films so far in advance, DOOL fans will continue to see Flynn as Chad for several months.
Flynn will also be seen in his new Y&R role starting later this spring, so he’ll be airing on both soaps for a while.
As for Cherie Jimenez, she recently shut down some social media chatter about her potential exit as Gabi Hernandez.
Jimenez assured everyone that she’s having a blast and staying in the part, so Gabi has plenty of exciting stuff coming up.
