Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that 2025 is now underway, so fans are eager to see what’s ahead in Salem. We’ve got a preview of all the upcoming action, so let’s talk about some leaked story shockers and the new head writing duo’s first airdate.
For starters, we should mention that Ron Carlivati still has some material left to air from his run as DOOL’s head writer.
Although Carlivati was replaced by new head writing team Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford in July, it’s taking a little time for their work to hit the screen.
However, Days viewers won’t have to wait much longer to see Ford and Cwikly’s vision for the show come to life.
TV Insider reports that Cwikly and Ford’s material will first air starting April 24, so we’ll bring you updates as we get closer to that airdate.
In the meantime, we can discuss some huge story developments that’ll play out in 2025.
Between Carlivati’s remaining hot plots and the new head writers’ content that’s looming, there’ll be plenty of drama.
Days spoilers say Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) will find a way to work together now that they’re both running Titan, so that’ll lead to some power plays that’ll affect DiMera Enterprises, too.
Of course, the letter forgery that allowed Philip to gain power in the first place is going to be a problem, especially since Sarah Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) may find out and keep her mouth shut to preserve the peace!
Some mysteries will also unravel – starting with a mile-long suspect list after EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) gets shot.
There’ll be some twists and turns as the cops work to crack the case of who pulled the trigger.
Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) will try to crack a case of his own related to John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) disappearance on his mission, but it’s going to end in tragedy.
John’s demise will ultimately be discovered and set the stage for his funeral along with a difficult goodbye.
Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) will also vanish, so Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and Brady Black (Eric Martsof) will face another nightmare as her worried parents.
We should note that Alice Halsey will take over the role of Rachel starting April 24 – just in time for the new head writing material to make its debut.
Naturally, love will continue to bloom and bring complications in 2025.
The more Sophia Choi (Madelyn Kientz until Rachel Boyd takes over February 12) tangles Tate Black (Leo Howard) in her web, the closer Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) will get to Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer).
While Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) and JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) continue building a new chapter, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) will be torn between Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins).
Nevertheless, Stephanie is the one Alex truly wants, so look for them to finally get on the same page about that down the road.
Our predictions point to Alex and Stephanie going all in on their future as a couple.
Other Days spoilers say Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) will return to Salem, so that’ll bring a chance for her to reconnect with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn).
The growing attraction between Chad and Cat will be tough for them to deny!
When it comes to returning characters, fans can expect to see Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien), Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder), Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel), Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) in 2025.
Carrie Brady Reed (Christie Clark), Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley), Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis), Will Horton (Chandler Massey), Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal), Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) and other familiar faces will also be seen in the coming months.
