David Tennant Wanted to Be Reed Richards in the MCU

When you mention the name David Tennant to most fans, a couple of very famous roles come to mind. First, there’s obviously his turn as Doctor Who’s Tenth Doctor and, most recently, the Fourteenth Doctor in the 60th Anniversary specials. Other fans who are not familiar with the Whoniverse may recognize him as Crowley from Good Omens or perhaps Kilgrave from Jessica Jones. But, if David Tennant had it his way, he would have loved to be Reed Richards in the MCU and star in The Fantastic Four: First Steps

He revealed this during the fan question portion of a panel at MCM Comic Con in London. “In terms of superheroes, I don’t know, I did slightly have my eye on Reed Richards, and unfortunately, it looks like they’ve gone in a different direction,” he said jokingly, “although if it has to be someone, I’m happy for it to be Pedro Pascal, frankly.”

Of course, the crowd was fully in support of David Tennant as Reed Richards, which could possibly happen someday. You never know with the MCU.

But, for now, Tennant gave lots of praise and support to Pedro Pascal. And how can you not love Pedro? Now we just need David and Pedro to get on a podcast together and be awesome.
