David Banda Tells His Fans To ‘Stop Worrying’ About Him
Earlier in the week, Banda revealed that he sometimes lacks “enough money to get food” and ends up “scavenging” to get by.
The musician made the reveal during a live video on his Instagram page, during which he talked about living on his own with his girlfriend, Maria Atuesta, in a humble abode in the Bronx, New York.
His comments sparked worries from concerned fans that he had been starving since leaving Madonna’s home to fly solo and chase his career.
Banda has now clarified his comments, saying that has not been the case and that he is very happy with his current life.
“TO ALL OF THOSE CONCERNED: My mother is very supportive of me. She has always been supportive of me,” Banda wrote on his Instagram Stories.

Madonna And David Banda Share A Strong Bond
In his post, Banda revealed that Madonna has been “very supportive” of him and his choices as a newly-minted young adult.
This isn’t surprising as the duo are known to share a strong connection despite Banda being her adopted child.
“What [David] has more than anything is focus and determination. I’m pretty sure he got it from me.” the proud mum once said at the time, per Style. “I feel like he gets me; he has more of my DNA than any of my other children so far.”
In a different interview, she revealed that Banda would often rock her dresses even better than her.
“He’ll put on any outfit and look swag as you know what. It’s really irritating. He wears my clothes and looks better in them,” Madonna joked in a 2022 interview with “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” per Today.

While it is unknown what triggered the bacterial infection, it unfortunately led to the postponement of her tour. Thankfully, Madonna resumed back and better and went on to put on some of the greatest shows of her career across the globe during her “The Celebration Tour.”
Madonna Says Her Kids Helped Speed Up Her Recovery
In a social media post in July last year, Madonna attributed her speedy recovery after a shocking health scare to the love and care of her children, writing that her kids came through for her during the challenging time.
Madonna wrote, “Love from family and friends is the best Medicine. One month out of the hospital and I can reflect.”
“As a Mother you can really get caught up in the needs of your children and the seemingly endless giving…But when the chips were down my children really showed up for me. It made all the difference. So did the love and support from my friends,” she added.
