Dana White, the 54-year-old CEO of UFC, stormed off of Howie Mandel’s podcast within about a minute of the interview beginning because he’s “tired of doing podcasts.”
After allowing Mandel to say complimentary things about him during his introduction to the interview, White thanked him before declaring that he’s so “f—— tired of doing podcasts” and that he’s “literally done with them” before abruptly standing up and walking off camera.”
For someone who likes to talk as much as White does, it’s certainly strange to see him pass up on the opportunity to hear himself speak in such a manner, thus leading some online to wonder if the exchange is a scripted bit.
Mandel shared the video — which sees White storm off, leaving him and his co-hosts in stunned silence — on social media sites such as Twitter and YouTube.
“We can’t thank you enough for being here. You and [co-host comedian] Ginger seem to be getting along. You are not only an amazing businessman, you are an inspiration. You are a philosopher,” Mandel begins.
“The way you do business, the way you conduct your business and your friendships and media is… I’m jealous. But Dana, I can’t thank you enough for being here,” he concludes.
The cameras then cut over to White, who thanks Mendel for his words before deciding to storm off.
“Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate it,” White responds before things go south. “I am so f—— tired of doing podcasts. I’m literally done with them. I’m not doing any more podcasts.”
White has certainly been on tons of podcasts in his day, particularly making frequent appearances on the “Nelk Boys” podcast.
He’s also been making tons of media appearances in recent weeks following the official merger of UFC and WWE, which also saw The Rock join the company as an official board member.
