Contessa Metcalfe in Bathing Suit Says "Transparency is Freedom" — Celebwell

Contessa Metcalfe is showing off her incredible body transformation in a swimsuit! The Haute Doc flaunts her incredibly fit figure in a tiny bathing suit while competing in a bodybuilding competition, which she has been training for all year. “My first step towards recovery was to admit I had a problem. Last year I gained so much mental (and physical) weight trying hold in what I was going through in my personal life. And then I learned……transparency is freedom,” she captioned the Instagram post. “There is not room for everyone on your journey to self- improvement, and many people will try to keep you stuck in the past, weaponize your trauma and constantly remind you of your lowest and saddest moments. But that’s their arrested development. And, if you allow Him to, God will de-select them from your journey.” She went on to thank family, friends, and her coach for supporting her, “until the deed was done.” So, how did she get into the best shape of her life? Contessa advocates a plant-based lifestyle. “A whole-food, plant-based diet is centered on whole, unrefined, or minimally refined plants.  It’s a diet based on fruits, vegetables, tubers, whole grains, and legumes; and it excludes or minimizes meat (including chicken and fish), dairy products, and eggs, as well as highly refined foods like bleached flour, refined sugar, and oil,” she told Black America Web. What is so great about a plant-based diet? It can help prevent chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes and heart disease, “while helping the planet,” she says. Also, it can help improve your condition if you are suffering from an autoimmune condition, obesity, or other health problems.

One thing she avoids on her diet is refined sugar, referring to it as “the devil” to Black America Web. “Leads to inflammation, etc.  Most vegetarians just don’t eat foods derived from meat sources.  Some are pescatarians (eat fish) .  However, eating processed foods, candy, sweets, sugary desserts, soda, juices, white flour pasta, etc can still be vegetarian, but these foods, although they are allowed on a vegetarian diet,  are not providing the  health benefits of a plant-based diet,” she explained.

Contessa suggests a new way of plating food. “Redesign your plate. Fill at least half of your plate with produce, grains, or beans, and downsize your meat serving. Think of a stir-fry heavy on the veggies and grains with thinly sliced strips of beef rather than a big steak with a spear of broccoli. Swap in chopped mushrooms or tofu for half of the ground meat you’d normally use in meatloaf, tacos, chili, or pasta sauce. Or try veggie-based dishes like burritos. Simply a diet based on fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes,” she told Black America Web.

Contessa also understands the importance of hydration. “Drink lots of water,” she said to Black America Web.

Contessa spends a lot of time getting her sweat on. Not only does she do a lot of strength and weight training, sharing her workouts on social media, but also swims and boxes. “Can’t wait for you to see the results,” she captioned this video of one of her grueling workouts.
