Colin Ferrell And Brendan Gleeson Curse Up A Storm On 'The Late Show'

While this might be somewhat of a hot take, I’m struggling to think of an acting duo I genuinely enjoy more than the Irish combination of Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, who have starred together in 2008’s cult classic In Bruges and this year’s The Banshees of Inisherin, both of which were written and directed by Three Billboards filmmaker Martin McDonagh.

Two of the finest character actors of their respective generations, both Farrell and Gleeson may finally get the award season recognition they deserve at next year’s Academy Awards thanks to their performances in The Banshees of Inisherin, which hits theaters on October 21.

In an effort to promote the film — which heavily features the use of the word “feck” — Farrell and Gleeson appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and raised utter FCC hell by cursing up a storm (they were under the assumption that “feck” would be allowed to be broadcast without a bleep).

In addition to Farrell and Gleeson, The Banshees of Inisherin also stars Barry Keoghan (who plays Joker in The Batman) and Kerry Condon.
