You know we had to take a trip down to the AUC (Atlanta University Center) where you’ll find prestigious gems Morehouse, Spelman, and Clark Atlanta University that, on back-to-back weekends, have two of the best HBCU Homecoming celebrations we’ve ever experienced.

Known for producing entertainment tastemakers, movemakers, and hitmakers, Clark Atlanta University is the ideal destination for anyone with dreams of thriving in the competitive industry.

Formed with the merging of Atlanta University (established in 1865) and Clark College (established in 1869) in 1988, CAU made history as the first Historically Black College or University in the southern United States.

Back in August, the private institution made headlines with a record-shattering 46,000+ applications from the incoming Freshman Class of 2028 that outpaced the University of Georgia.

“CAU’s brand is popping,” said Dr. Cherise Peters, VP for Enrollment Management and Retention at CAU in a statement. “Students signing up for our mandatory overnight new student orientation is up by 20% compared to last year. We have also developed strategic partnerships with community colleges across the country to facilitate automatic acceptance of their students with Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees.”

Today, with over 4,000 students, CAU is the largest of the four institutions (CAU, Morehouse College, Spelman College, and Morehouse School of Medicine) that make up the Atlanta University Center Consortium.

Notable CAU alumni include Mase, Kenya Barris, Eva Marcille, DJ Drama AND DJ Don Cannon, Bobby V, Pinky Cole, Jacque Reid, Bomani Jones, Bryan-Michael Cox, and more.
