Actress Christina Applegate, who was born and raised in Hollywood by the way and knows the city of Los Angeles as well as anyone, ripped into the heartless trolls who have said California deserved the wildfires because ‘it’s Hollywood.’ Speaking with fellow actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Applegate didn’t hold back.
This came during an appearance on this week’s episode of MeSsy, their podcast together. When speaking about the most devastating fires the city has ever seen, Christina Applegate told her co-host “you know what I have words for? F—— people who are saying that it’s, you know, good. ‘It’s Hollywood and those stupid Hollywood people’ … Like, you’ve gotta be kidding me.”
Applegate is self-aware. She knows celebrities live a charmed life. But as a born-and-raised Angeleno, she was quick to say “we’re a small portion of the city. I mean, this is a city of people that are working their a—- off at fast food chains or… You know… F—— builders and painters, and it’s a myriad of groups of humans here. So to say ‘good riddance’ is real sick, and I’m not liking that whatsoever.”
It is sick. That shouldn’t even have to be said. Here is the segment with her comments coming around the 22:11 mark which this video should start at if you hit ‘play.’
Echoing her co-host’s sentiments, Jamie-Lynn Sigler chimed in with “And sure. Is there a group of people that have been affected that will have the ability to rebuild their lives — I wouldn’t say easily, but soon? Yes. And are there thousands of other people that literally have no idea where they will begin? Yes. And we have to hold both of them in our hearts.”
For those that missed it, Bill Burr had strong words for all of the ‘fire experts’ at home on their keyboards. Burr’s words came during an appearance on Kimmel after Bill had been forced to evacuate his own home.
As I mentioned in yesterday’s article, Bill Burr also called out CNN and Fox News for highlighting ‘looting’ while making zero mention of the insurance companies that will now jack up everyone’s insurance premiums. This is something I’m ALL TOO FAMILIAR with down here in Florida and hopefully the Los Angeles media does a better job at covering this story than media in North Carolina, Florida, and the Southeast after last Summer’s natural disasters.
