RAPPERS Chris Brown and Quavo used to be friends and frequent collaborators, having worked on a string of hits together.
However, the two started feuding in 2017, and to this day, neither party has made any attempts to squash their beef.
What happened between Chris Brown and Quavo?
Chris Brown and Quavo began beefing in 2017 when it was reported that Quavo had started dating Karreuche Tran, whom Brown dated from 2011 to 2015.
While the former Migos member and Tran never confirmed the rumors at the time, Brown reportedly felt betrayed that Quavo dated Tran, as he considered him one of his good friends.
To add fuel to the fire, Tran filed a restraining order against Brown around the time that her dating rumors with Quavo started circulating.
According to TMZ, Brown didn’t think that it was merely a coincidence and that Tran only filed so she could freely date Quavo.

Not long after, reports surfaced that Brown and Quavo’s crews had a physical altercation backstage at the BET Awards, but both camps apparently left unscathed.
Nothing came out of the Quavo and Tran dating rumors after, and soon enough, Quavo was romantically linked to Saweetie, while Tran started dating former New York Giants player Victor Cruz.
They did, however, stir up dating rumors again in 2022, but Tran denied that they were an item.
When did Chris diss Quavo?
Apart from a few social media disses, Chris Brown and Quavo appeared to have put their beef aside.
But in April 2024, when Brown released the deluxe edition of his album 11:11, it included a track titled Freak, which featured Lil Wayne, Joyner Lucas, and Tee Grizzley, and contained an apparent diss directed at Quavo.
Based on the lyrics, it seemed that Brown is still not over how Quavo apparently dated Karreuche Tran.
“OK, now f****n’ my old b****s ain’t gone make us equal/ Sippin’ that 1942 ’cause I don’t do no Quavo,” he rapped. “Freak b***h, she like Casamigos not the Migos.”
How did Quavo respond?
It didn’t take long until Quavo released his own diss track titled Tender just a day later.
Quavo seemed to have addressed his beef with Chris Brown in one of the verses and the chorus.
“You did the b***h wrong and now the b***h gone, she posted with a thug. Call the b***h phone, she won’t come home, don’t beat her up / It must be the drugs, need to cross out your plug,” he rapped in the hook.
In the second verse, the former Migos member then rapped, “Tell me, ‘lil bro, what’s your issue? It’s over a th*t / You said it’s bigger than that, but no, it is not / It’s cause I be diggin’ in that, it got ’em hot,” he raps. “I’m givin’ respect, but I know you not / Your b***h on my neck, your bitch at the spot.”
When did Chris release Weakest Link?
Then, on April 20, 2024, merely a week after the release of Tender, Chris Brown dropped Weakest Link, which included multiple disses directed at Quavo.
The cover art even featured Quavo biting on a hotdog.
“Okay, let’s get down to the facts, p***y, I’m dripped in red / Don’t let this R&B s*** fool you, n****s get ripped to shreds / Quavo talkin’ like he a t***, n***a, you a b***h with dreads / Can’t wait to see the day that you back up all of that s*** you said,” Brown rapped in the opening verse.
“What’s all that boss s*** you talkin’? You ain’t no huncho, n***a / You the weakest link out of your clique, let’s keep it a hundo, n***a.”
He even insinuated that he slept with Saweetie while she and Quavo were still together.
“You f****d my ex-ho, that’s cool, I don’t give no f***, lil n***a/ ‘Cause I f****d yo’ ex when you were still with her, b***h, I’m up, lil n***a.
He continued, “They say revenge is sweet, now think about that s*** / Don’t let that line go over your head, I might just sing about that s*** / I had her fiending ’bout that d***, there’s something sweet about that s*** / I got some tea up out that b***h, but I ain’t go speak about that s***.”
