Bailey and her sister Halle kick start their day with a walk. “Every morning we walk our little brother to school,” she tells Teen Vogue. “That helps us start our day off nice and refreshed. And we love to go running, around three times a week. We are also vegan, so making healthy eating choices are always important.”
Bailey knows being in the public eye can be difficult—but she doesn’t allow criticism to get to her. “One thing you should never do is compare yourself to others,” she says. “We are all beautifully and distinctively made. That’s what makes all of us special. Also, instead of pointing out things you don’t like about yourself, try pointing out things that you love. Example, ‘I love the way my body looks in this dress’ or ‘I love how my lips look with this lipstick’. Giving yourself that confidence boost has a domino effect and will make you feel so much better.
“Sissy and I absolutely LOVE oatmeal,” Bailey says. “So for breakfast, we’ll make ourselves maple, brown sugar oatmeal with a side of fruit. Sometimes for lunch, I will grill veggie hot dogs while Halle makes delicious kale chips. And to end the day off for dinner, we’ll make spinach and brown rice with a side of veggie balls.”
Bailey knows workouts are so much more fun when you’re listening to good music. “My sister and I like the rhythm to match the pace of our run, so we choose anything with high energy and fast tempo!” she says. “Our workout playlist consists of Beyonce, The Weeknd, Kanye, TwentyOne Pilots, Bruno Mars, etc. We like to have fun!”
Bailey focuses on plant-based foods as part of her vegan lifestyle—but credits genetics for her strong physique. “I think half of my body is from genes and my family,” she says. “My mom was a track star—her body was banging—and I think I got it from her. Now, I’m vegan, I don’t think being vegan has anything to do with my shape.”
