Chili’s has teamed up with Texas-based bootmaker Tecovas to launch a limited-edition collection of cowboy boots made from the restaurant’s iconic red booths.
The “Booth Boots” collection debuted July 29 exclusively on Tecova’s website and sold out in less than a minute. Both the men’s Garrett and women’s Annie styles were reworked in Chili’s signature booth-red leather with chili pepper stitching, snip toes, and scalloped heels. Each pair retailed for $345.
A matching “Booth Belt” featuring embroidered chili peppers and a matte-nickel brass buckle was also available for $75. Tecovas and Chili’s said the collaboration celebrates their shared Texas roots and focus on comfort.
Stores hosting launch events
Select Tecovas stores will host launch events on August 2 with Chili’s margaritas and other in-store surprises. The companies have also announced a giveaway for the final two pairs of boots, one men’s size 11 and one women’s size 7, each paired with a $100 Chili’s gift card.
“Our collaboration with Chili’s is a celebration of our Texas roots and shared love for comfort, hospitality, and making people feel welcome,” said Sam Fodrowski, Tecovas’ Vice President, Brand and Product Marketing. “The limited-edition Chili’s x Tecovas collection pays tribute to two American originals, pairing the design and craft of Tecovas with Chili’s iconic red booth, where so many good stories begin.
“It’s unexpected, fun, and crafted with the same care and attention to detail we bring to everything we do.”
Chili’s is far from the first restaurant to have a non-food release sell out quickly. Back in April, KFC partnered with hismile to release fried chicken-flavored toothpaste, and it sold out in less than two days.
