The Hunt family, owners of the Kansas City Chiefs, had a scare this week when Chiefs heiress Ava Hunt was sent to the emergency room for surgery after suffering a ‘deep wound’ that she sustained from falling down a mountain.

As a clumsy individual myself, a guy who has fallen down his fair share of mountains and sustained random injuries like concussions for going over the handlebars while downhill mountain biking, I can fully sympathize with how a routine hike can turn into a nightmare situation in an instant.

Tavia Shackles (Hunt), the Hunt Family matriarch, shared a photo on her Instagram Stories of herself and her daughter Ava with the caption “this little thing fell down a mountain on a hike & went to the ER for surgery on a deep wound. It’s been a loooong day. Praise God she’s in recovery and already smiling. Please pray for a quick & complete recovery!

18-year-old Ava Hunt later posted a photograph of her left knee wrapped up in bandages with the caption “Update: surgery went very smoothly and I’m back at home watching my favorite @simonebiles!!! I’m feeling great (but I might still be a little drugged up) Thank you for all of your sweet messages and prayers!!

Ava’s sister and fellow Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt had just tagged her yesterday in photos from the Morgan Wallen concert at Arrowhead Stadium. So it would appear Summer was going swimmingly prior to falling down a mountain:

For all the prayer warriors out there, Ava’s mom is still asking for thoughts and prayers as her daughter heals from surgery.
