Cher claims son Elijah Blue is missing and fears his ‘funds will be spent on drugs’ as she fights to be his conservator

Cher says her son Elijah Blue is missing

CHER’s troubled son, Elijah Blue Allman, has reportedly gone missing.

Cher had previously filed court papers begging to be made his temporary conservator, as she fears for his safety.

The 77-year-old alleged in court papers her son’s drug addiction has left him “unable to manage his own financial resources.”

But just hours before a decision on his welfare was due to be made on Friday, the Daily Mail reported the 47-year-old missing.

In court documents, Cher shared her fear that if Elijah were to be given full access to a trust fund, worth thousands of dollars, he would blow all the money on drugs.

“Due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues, Elijah is not currently able to manage his finances,” A petition to a Los Angeles court read.

The petition argued giving Elijah all the money would soon leave him with “no assets to provide for himself,” thus “putting his life at risk.”

SOLE CONSERVATOR

Elijah Blue — who also goes by the stage name P. Exeter Blue — was born in Beverly HillsCalifornia, on July 10, 1976.

He is the son of pop icon Cher and her ex-husband, singer-songwriter Gregg Allman.

Late last month, Cher applied to be the sole conservator of her son’s estate.

The filing reads: “Elijah is entitled to regular distributions from the Trust, but given his ongoing mental health and substance abuse issues, (Cher) is concerned that any funds distributed to Elijah will be immediately spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself and putting Elijah’s life at risk.”

In recent posts to social media, Elijah has spoken out against conservatorship in hashtags, calling the possible ruling an “imprisonment” as fans reached out over his wellbeing.

He has previously spoken out about his drug addiction, and in 2014 admitted to Entertainment Tonight that he had used heroin and painkillers, but was since sober.

FAMILY BATTLE

Cher’s filing has put her in direct opposition with Elijah’s estranged wife, singer Marieangela King.

Marieangela had accused Cher of “kidnapping” Elijah, and throwing him into a lockdown facility in Mexico.

The 36-year-old told Page Six that the Believe singer has “historically excluded” her from voicing her opinions on Elijah’s care.

“I have always been a champion for the sober community and for Elijah’s sobriety. … What I am not ok with are establishments that exclude me (his wife) from being part of Elijah’s treatment and hopeful recovery,” she said in a statement.

“I am not ok with pop-up, makeshift, unethical scam rehabs which take full advantage of families in desperate situations and seek to fraudulently exploit insurance companies for services not rendered.”

However, a good friend of Cher told Page Six the star is simply fighting to save Allman.

“Cher is an amazing mother,” the friend said. “In all the years I’ve known her, I’ve only seen her be the best, most amazing, giving mother.”

Cher noted in her filing that her son makes $120,000 a year and “is entitled to regular distributions from a trust established by his father for his benefit.”

She also noted that Elijah has zero dollars in personal property.
