Charming Liars have released their latest single, ‘Where I End & You Begin’.
The LA-based, London-formed rock band have shared their new track ahead of their UK tour next week, which sees them play dates in Glasgow, London and Manchester.
The propulsive new track is filled with passion and verve, with the band explaining:
“‘Where I End & You Begin’ at its core is the sound of physical love inducing a state of disassociation.
“Its lyrics provide the perspective of drowning in an ocean of oneness while its aggressive synth heavy musical tones provide a soundscape resembling a growing storm.
“As a band, we’re very connected to sounds and vibes that surround the 80’s feel. Whilst in the creative process, we end up spending quite a lot of time exploring and trying different sonic landscapes.
“It’s a real source of inspiration and with this song, the tempo and feel of the verse really lead the way. The rest of the song wrote itself very quickly.”
The self-produced track was mixed by Will Brierre and mastered by Reuben Cohen (whose credits include Incubus and Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros) – have a listen below.
Speaking about their upcoming live dates, the band have said:
“We’re incredibly excited to perform our first shows in almost a year and to have them be in the UK. Even though we’re based in the US, it always feels like home to get back to England and play shows.
“It reminds us of our time performing up and down the country in our first bands when we were in secondary school. We’re performing in Glasgow, London and Manchester and we think that they’re the perfect locations to kick off 2024.
“Our last headline show in London sold-out so we’re itching to get on stage and do the same at Oslo on March 9th!”
Thursday, 7th March – Glasgow, Broadcast
Saturday, 9th March – London, Oslo
Sunday, 10th March – Manchester, Deaf Institute (The Lodge)
