Charlotte Sands is seeing out the year in style with her highly emotive new single ‘Blindspot’.
The track is the latest single from Charlotte’s forthcoming ‘Can We Start Over?’ LP, which arrives January 24.
We’ve already had the likes of ‘Use Me’, ‘Get Over It’ and ‘Pity’ from the album, and now we have a whole new depth of feeling in this latest track.
‘Blindspot’ also arrives with its own brilliant new video that you can check out below.
Charlotte has explained the track is about the all-too-common experience of falling for someone you’re friends with, saying:
“It’s about the experience of watching their life from the sidelines and having to witness them have feelings for other people.
“This is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written and was very much sonically inspired by artists like Michelle Branch, Jewel, and so many others.
“It reminds me of some of my favorite songs from the 90’s and I am so proud and excited for it to be out in the world.”
‘Can We Start Over?’ will be Charlotte’s debut album and will arrive in the wake of a momentous period for the pop-rock star, following wins at the Heavy Music Awards and touring with the likes of My Chemical Romance, Yungblud and PVRIS.
Speaking of the album more broadly, the singer has added:
“I hope this album conveys strength, confidence, and power within vulnerability.
“It feels like holding a mirror to myself and reflects exactly how I feel right now in this phase of my life. I feel more secure in who I am as a person and as an artist than I’ve ever been.”
In March, she’ll be hitting the road on a world headline tour in support of the new record.
