Charley Hull is testing out her force in exercise gear. In a new social media post the golfer shows off her amazing body and strength while jumping up during a series of testing. “Session of diagnostic testing, with force plates💥 This will give information on my ability to produce force, even out any asymmetries and other metrics to help me steer my training to optimise my golf,” she explains in the Instagram caption. How does the pro athlete approach health and fitness? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.Â
Charley maintain a healthy diet. For breakfast she enjoys cereal and fruit. For lunch, she will eat “something healthy like salad,” she told BBC’s Good Food. Dinner is usually a “healthy balanced meal like chicken and vegetables. I can’t cook but fortunately I live at home so mum does all the cooking,” she said. In general she doesn’t “worry too much about” her diet. “Maybe I’ll have to when I’m older but at the moment I don’t have to be too disciplined as long as I’m eating a fairly balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables,” she said.Â
Charley fuels up during the day with health snacks like peanut butter and jam sandwiches. “I keep them in my golf bag to munch on during the day. I also eat lots of fruit too like apples and bananas,” she said. She also munches on “lots of fruit throughout the day.”
Charley hydrates throughout the day. “I drink a lot of water throughout the day and top up with hydration tablets. Particularly if it’s hot,” she said. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
Charley has a go-to cheat meal: “Pizza! Though I actually eat that during the season too. I don’t really have to watch my weight but maybe that’s my age and it will all catch up with me at some point!” she said.Â
Aside from golf, Charley hits the gym. “If it’s a non-tournament week I’ll focus on working in the gym,” she told Huffington Post. She also gets her st4eps in “I also like going for long walks with my dog. I’ll usually do that before I go out so I feel less guilty,” she told Huffington Post.Â
