Jenna Dewan Believes Channing Tatum Lied About Actual ‘Magic Mike’ Earnings
In the papers filed in the County of Los Angeles, Dewan’s lawyers claim that the actress and Tatum have issues sorting out who owes whom money.
There is also the problem of determining support payments, dealing with someone who is not honest or responsible, and deciding who pays the lawyers’ fees and other costs.
However, Dewan claims that she and her estranged husband cannot discuss those pending issues until “Magic Mike” is sorted out. She notes that Tatum hit it big with “Magic Mike,” which he developed and co-financed during their marriage using money they both contributed.

The 2011-filmed Hollywood project became a big success following its release in 2012, leading to Tatum also working on a sequel called “Magic Mike XXL” in 2015. Then, in 2023, another film, “Magic Mike’s Last Dance,” was released.
Despite the supposed monetary benefits he would have received from these business ventures, Dewan alleges that Tatum, with the help of his business manager, set up a complicated system of companies and partnerships to hide and downplay the value of “Magic Mike” and its earnings.
She also claims that Tatum broke his promise to take care of their shared property by transferring a big portion of the “Magic Mike” benefits to others during and after their marriage without getting her consent.

Inside Dewan’s List Of Demands
Dewan is requesting an order that the “Step Up” actor must give her a complete report of The Tatum Family Trust, which is one of the places he reportedly deposited the film’s earnings.
Her attorneys declare that if there is still community money left in the trust, Tatum has to pay his estranged partner back half of the money he put in the trust.
Additionally, if the trust keeps getting money from “Magic Mike” projects, the 43-year-old has to pay Dewan her half or she can choose to invest her share directly into new “Magic Mike” projects when they come up.
The “Tamara” actress wants the court to grant her participation equal to half of Tatum’s share in future “Magic Mike” projects.

Dewan Previously Filed A ‘Declaration Of Disclosure’
This newest roadblock comes over a year after Dewan submitted a “declaration of disclosure” to the court, indicating that she has provided all financial and related information to the other party.
Usually, when a party takes this step, it signals that the ex-couple is close to settling their divorce case.
At the time, The Blast reported that the settlement between the two Hollywood stars would cover support for their daughter, Everly, and the division of their shared property.
The former lovebirds also agreed not to use their daughter as “sponsorships, advertisements, or any social media campaign without the other party’s consent.” However, they can share family photos and events if they want.
Tatum Spoke About The Breakdown Of His Marriage
Notably, Tatum addressed the breakup in January 2023, claiming that they “fought for [the marriage] for a really long time,” even though they knew they had “grown apart.”
Recall that the “Coach Carter” star and Dewan initially met on the set of “Step Up” in 2006, tied the knot three years later in 2009, and welcomed Everly in 2013. The couple then announced their separation in 2018, finalizing their divorce in 2019.
When asked why they remained together for so long, Tatum revealed that he and Dewan clung to the vows they made when they were younger. In his words:
“I think we told ourselves a story when we were young, and we just kept telling ourselves that story, no matter how blatantly life was telling us that we were so different.”

Channing Tatum Almost Skipped Making The Third Film In the ‘Magic Mike’ Installment
In February 2022, Tatum disclosed that he almost backed out of “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” due to the strict diet regimen.
Speaking on the situation with Kelly Clarkson, the Alabama native said his uncertainty over doing the film came from him not feeling his body was in the right shape for it.
As he expressed, “It’s hard even if you do work out to be in that kind of shape. You have to starve yourself. I don’t think when you’re that lean, it’s actually healthy for you.”
Tatum confessed that the fitness training was a fierce routine that demanded a significant amount of his time. The onscreen hunk also acknowledged that he found it more difficult to lose weight now compared to when he was younger.
