CDawgVA has responded to backlash caused by having political Twitch streamer Hasan on an episode of his Trash Taste podcast.
CDawg’s Trash Taste podcast featured political Twitch streamer Hasan on February 21, 2025, and almost immediately sparked backlash from users who disagree with his political takes.
Fans immediately flocked to the comments to share their thoughts, with many calling out the podcast for bringing him onto the show.
“Well, they definitely have trash taste in guests,” one user commented.
CDawgVA has responded to the backlash, revealing that they will “most likely” not have Hasan on the podcast again.

“The way that we handle it, and the way you should handle a lot of these things when they happen… drama. Sometime’s its just better to not address anything and just let it fade,” he said during a stream. “Mainly because when things get too heated, no matter what you say in that moment people are still going to be unaffected… unhappy.”
“It just adds more fire to the flame. From our perspective, we don’t engage in politics directly because it’s just a mess. None of us live in the US. It’s also fair to ask why we would bring someone political on [to the podcast], which I think is very fair.
“[The comments] turned into a political d*ck swinging contest… I think it was bad of us to kind of almost invite that.”
Connor went on to explain that he told Hasan that they likely wouldn’t have him on again as to not invite more political comments and backlash towards the podcast.
This comes as Hasan was banned on Twitch for an undetermined amount of time after making controversial comments about a United States Senator on stream. He responded, apologizing for what he said and saying he’ll “be more careful” next time.
